    Description

    This is the
    1883 "Racketeer" Nickle
    .  Without the word CENT stamped on it, scaly-wags gold plated it and passed it off as a gold piece.  This is one such example.  And the original coin was a very good strike to begin with.
    I have seen these described as either 24Kt gold and 22Kt gold.  I can't assay.
