African Mongoose Skull
•Mongoose: You are bidding on a mongoose skull from Sub-Saharan Africa. The skull belongs to a male member of the species Galerella sanguinea, a variety of mongoose found in the old-world tropics. The pictures provide the best description of the item and a ruler has been included to establish size. It displays mostly minor imperfections. The teeth and mandible are included. This item is rather unique and rare. Feel free to message me for questions.
•This species, despite it's size, is known to kill and eat cobras and other snakes. In some parts of Africa it is kept as a pet, utilizing its ability to remove snakes, as a means of removing unwanted, particularly venomous, snakes from a person’s home.
