Deep Sea Fishing reels, vintage - Pflueger 1420 1/2 & Ocean City Big Game 606

Up for auction I have a pair of vintage deep sea fishing reels. These reels come from my father’s estate but I have had them in my possession for over 20 years now. They were stored on a shelf in a metal storage cabinet in my garage.
The first reel is a Pflueger Templar 1420½ . It is a 9/0 size reel. This model reel was made in the USA from 1934 thru 1951. This one has the torpedo type handle which came out in 1937 so this reel was made anywhere between 1937-1951. That makes this reel at least 70 years old but it was probably made sometime in the 40’s.
This thing is a monster! Black side plates 4 ½” - spool 3 ¼” .  The reel functions pretty well. All the levers, switches, star wheel for drag, spool all work. The leather thumb pad for line brake is still pliable and in good condition. Reel does have some dirt and surface corrosion but would clean up nicely. Works just fine with it's patina intact. I have not done anything to it. You might want to go through it and clean and lubricate but I think that you could put line on it and fish with it as is.
The second reel is an Ocean City Big Game No. 606. Made in Philadelphia. It is a 6/0 size reel. Line Capacity: 725/30, 450/50, 390/60

Gear Ratio: 2:1. I believe this reel is from the 1950’s. This one also like the Pflueger, functions pretty well. All the levers, switches, star wheel for drag, spool all work. As far as I know, neither one of these reels have ever been disassembled. I don’t know how my father acquired them but I do know that they were not used very much. I only saw these mounted to fishing poles in the 60’s and early 70’s when I was a kid.
If you are the only bidder you can snag these reels for .00 apiece which is currently the best price on eBay for these models of vintage deep sea reels! I hope these reels will be used again. They don't make 'em like this anymore!
