the serving dish
there is wear to the rim of the base from just coming into contact with surfaces. (see second image.) otherwise i can find no issues.
made in italy by ceramiche tadinate. (see more about them below.) actually quite cute. i think the painting in the middle depicts a block of sheep's cheese that had been wrapped in maybe butcher paper with a twine string that was recently untied. plus the sheep is really cute and the pink hues of the paper are really lovely. the dish at its widest is 11 1/4" x 6 1/2" tall. the rim of the dish sits 1" away from the surface on which the dish rests. it is impressed marked on the reverse with the following. (see second-to-last image.)

the company was founded in 1955 by giuseppe panfili and two other partners who, driven by a passion for artistic ceramics, began to produce the first pieces in an old building in via flaminia, not far from the current headquarters of the company. after more than twenty years, in 1977, with the exit from the company of some partners, the factory moves to its current location and takes its name from its founder, thus becoming «ceramiche panfili».
the production of artistic ceramics continues for another twenty years until the company passes to the founder's grandchildren, in 1998, vera and valerio volpolini who decide to return the original name to the company inherited from their grandfather: thus the tadinate ceramics are back.
with the arrival of new energies and ideas, the young owners expand the already vast catalog of products, bringing a breath of fresh air and many new products which, while maintaining the quality and style of gualdese ceramics, project the art of ceramics towards the new millennium.
to date, vera and valerio, with the collaboration of other master potters, produce fine pottery, furniture for hotels and hotels of excellent quality and have managed to keep alive the family tradition that sees their company as one of the main and renowned factories in ceramics from all over umbria.
