Vintage No. 1070 Model GD President by Shakespeare Level Winding Reel

Description

This is a used Vintage President by Shakespeare Level Winding Reel. No. 1070. Model GD. Made in U.S.A. The reel is in very clean solid condition and all functions of the reel appear to be mechanically sound. The two insert sides of the reel are intact and in good condition with no chips, gouges or sign of breakage. I'm not sure if that's Bakelite or just a hard plastic. The handle knobs are intact. There is no corrosion on the metal components. The stainless steel has no blemishes. Almost looks like new. This is from my father-in-laws estate and I don't believe it was used very much if ever. I don't know where it was manufactured or the year of manufacture.
